The British Standard BS5467 cable specification covers the requirements for low voltage armored cables – galvanized steel wire armored (multi-core) and non-magnetic aluminum wire armored (single core).
This includes PVC-sheathed single-core cables and multi-core cables. The cable current classes include 0.6/1kv and 1.9/3.3kv. It has thermoset insulation with a rated voltage of 600/1000V. It is intended for fixed installations in industrial wiring, main distribution, auxiliary control, and similar applications where there is a risk of mechanical damage and some form of protection is required.
