Yes, SWA cable can act as a ground conductor, but it must be properly grounded and practiced during installation.

Where is armored cable not allowed?

SWA armored cables are not suitable for locations where they may be subject to severe physical damage or corrosive fumes, nor can they be buried directly underground. Strict operation is required.

What are the limitations when using SWA armored cables?

SWA armored cable is heavier than other types of cables due to its steel wire armor layer, and is less flexible and cannot be bent or flexed as easily as PCV sheathed cable. Therefore, when installing armored cable, there may be limitations on the bending range, which should be noted.
